Not exactly a work of art

 

 

Ran into Goodwill on a sweltering hot day and saw this long, XL summer dress hanging there.

Cute print, nice and lightweight………….SOLD!

 

Of course, I had all these ideas about cutting off about 10″ and using it to make cute gathered patch pockets, then adding a contrast print border at the hem.
Well, it was too hot to spend much time sewing, so most of that never happened – I ended up with a narrow contrast of black and white spots at the neckline, and a “borderless” dress.

Not very exciting, but at least it was ready to wear the next day (just as stinky hot)!
